The liquid
loaded overflows onto the drum after passing into a calming tank.
The charge is stopped by the drum and driven forward when the drum rotates.
It is then recovered by scraping which ensures mechanical cleaning of
the whole filtering surface.
At the same time the fluid goes through the drum twice to be relieved
of its charge.

The outputs are quoted for non greasy water with a MES concentration below
0.5 g/litre. The maximum permissible delivery is strongly influenced by
the nature and concentration of the charge.
